Renault F1 Team is in Silverstone for the tenth race of the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the Rolex British Grand Prix.

Silverstone
• A lap around Silverstone features the least gear changes on the Formula 1 calendar. Drivers make just 40 per lap, around 2,100 during the race and just below 6,000 across an entire race weekend. In comparison, Singapore features the most with 76 per lap, 4,700 during a race and 13,000 across the race weekend.

• Turn 12 at Silverstone, known as Becketts, sees drivers hit 4.6 lateral G – the joint highest G-force experienced of all 21 circuits in 2019. Turn Six at Austin also sees drivers hit 4.6G.

• At 437.1m the Silverstone Pit Lane is the longest of the season with an average pit-stop taking 29 seconds.

Our Drivers
• Nico Hülkenberg has scored points at his last six British Grands Prix, including back-to-back sixth place finishes in Renault colours.

• Daniel Ricciardo made his Formula 1 debut in 2011 at Silverstone. His best finish in the British Grand Prix is third in 2014.

Renault History
• Renault has enjoyed plenty of success in the British Grand Prix, including: 12 wins, 30 podiums, 13 pole positions and 12 fastest laps.

• Between 1991 and 1997, Renault powered seven Silverstone victories in a row.

• Renault Sport Racing’s Special Advisor Alain Prost has won twice at Silverstone under Renault power: 1983 and 1993. His 1993 win was his 50th Grand Prix victory.

• In total, Alain has five Formula 1 wins in the British Grand Prix (all at Silverstone), making him the joint most successful in Great Britain alongside Jim Clark and Lewis Hamilton.

Young Drivers
• Renault F1 Team’s Test Driver Jack Aitken (FIA Formula 2) and Renault Sport Academy Driver Max Fewtrell (FIA Formula 3) race on home soil this weekend in the Formula 1 support categories. Both drivers sit fifth in their respective Drivers’ Championships heading into this weekend’s round.

• Academy duo Anthoine Hubert and Guanyu Zhou are also in Formula 2 action with Christian Lundgaard and Yifei Ye racing in Formula 3.

• Last weekend, Zhou and Max entertained the British crowd at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the 2012 Renault-powered E20 Formula 1 car. René Arnoux also took part, demoing the RS10, which won the 1979 French GP with Jean-Pierre Jabouille. Rene was also at the wheel of a second RS10 in that race, duelling with Gilles Villeneuve in the closing laps.

Home Race
• Renault F1 Team’s chassis factory, Whiteways Technical Centre, is located at Enstone, Oxfordshire, just 22 miles from Silverstone. It has been the home to a Formula 1 team since 1992 and has seen 44 Grand Prix victories in that time.
• More than 700 people, made up of 28 nationalities, work at Enstone.
