MOTOE WORLD CUP REDS PUBLISHED

The FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup begins on the 5th to 7th July at the Sachsenring, and the regulations for the new Cup have now been published.
There are some key differences in the format of the Cup, although one thing remains absolutely the same: MotoE™ is about Pure Racing.
The Cup is a single-machine competition racing the Energica Ego Corsa, and there are limited setup options to increase competition even further. Bikes must be used as delivered by the organiser, with no modifications except those described in the Technical Regulations.
18 riders represent 12 teams, and wildcards are not permitted. There is a single tyre supplier: Michelin.
As in all classes, a MotoE™ race weekend comprises practice sessions, qualifying and the race(s). Free Practice for MotoE™ doesn’t count towards a Q1-Q2 format qualifying as it does in other classes. The combined FP classification decides the order riders head out of pitlane in the E-Pole qualifying session in which riders set one fast lap each to decide the grid.
Another distinction that will surely be noticed before lights out is that MotoE™ will not have a Warm Up lap. There will therefore only be a sighting lap on the way to the grid, before the riders get ready and the lights go out.
