FRASER ROSS’ BRAND NEW MCLAREN 720S GT3 AT PHILLIP ISLAND

Fraser Ross’ new McLaren 720S GT3 was on track today for the unofficial practice of the Australian GT first Enduro event for 2019 and Velocity Magazine was there to both see and hear the amazing new car.

Variable weather was the flavour of the day at Phillip Island, not unlike most race meetings there, and especially in Winter, sun was out, then cloudy, then showers, than fine again, almost within an hour!  And seen as the weather for the weekend ahead is mixed it was probably a good testing ground for what is to come.

Velocity Magazine was on hand to catch a few laps later in the afternoon, see our quick video below.

Whilst this is the same new model Ross ran at the Australian Grand Prix in March, it is in fact a brand new car, with the one at the GP on loan as an early production model from the factory that has supplied the new model.

The AUS GT put out a great pre-event press release all about this weekends Enduro round, including remarks on the McLaren along with most of the GT3 field.
