Pedders Suspension & Brakes has backed the organisers of the Victorian round of the 2019 CAMS Australian Rally Championship in becoming the naming rights sponsor.

In making the announcement today, Pedders Managing Director Mark Pedder said: “Rallying is in our DNA. Pedders has been intrinsically linked with Rallying all over Australia for many decades, our staff and customers love it and we are very proud to take on the naming rights to the ‘Pedders Eureka Rush.’  Ballarat is an important region for our business and we look forward to working closely with the event organisers to put on a fantastic show for all spectators, competitors and officials to enjoy.  Thank you to the hard-working people who volunteer their time, without you this event couldn’t happen, bring on the 24th of August!”

Event Clerk of Course Andrew Roseman expressed delight that a high-profile international brand such as Pedders has added their support behind the Ballarat based championship event.  He added: “Pedders have a long and distinguished association with rallying at the highest levels. The Pedders brand is synonymous with success so we couldn’t be happier to work with them at the ‘Pedders Eureka Rush’ on August 24th and 25th at Ballarat.”

To be known as the ‘Pedders Eureka Rush’, the rally will be the second in this year’s championship to run under the new CAMS ARC ‘Sprint’ format where the rally action on the gravel all takes place on one day of intense competition.

However, before heading to the forests, the ‘Pedders Eureka Rush’ will announce itself to the township of Ballarat on Saturday 24th of August where a tarmac Super Special stage will be run as the first two stages of the event.  As the sun sets on Saturday evening, the rally crews will tackle the 2.8 km course around the new Ballarat West Industrial Estate.  Spectators will have the opportunity to see the rally crews twice on the course. The action promises to be breathtaking as the top crews try to carve out a small lead to take into Sunday’s forest stages in the nearby Pyrenees ranges.

Pedders Suspension & Brakes joins other event partners including the City of Ballarat, the Pyrenees Shire Council, and Car Club RMIT in bringing the 2019 CAMS Australian Championship to Victoria.
