17 TCR ENTRIES FOR THE FIRST ROUND AT SMP

There are 17 TCR Australia cars entered for this weekends inaugural round of the brand new racing series, a pretty good number for a new class, although they have in excess of 30 cars on the European Grids, hopefully this will be reflected in Australia in a year or two.

There are over 13 car manufacturers around the world that have, or are building vehicles to TCR Series regulations.

At Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend there are 7 manufacturers represented, thats pretty good, not many other classes racing in Australia can boast a stat like that.

And if you look at the driver line-up there is also a great cross-reference of Australian, New Zealand and 1 international driver (yes NZ is international, but hey not far away) , its a quality field and it will be interesting to see who will come to terms with the TCR car fastest.
