ALEX PERONI FLYING VISIT TO THE AGP

Alex Peroni stopped by the Albert Park circuit to take in the action from the opening round of the 2019 Formula One World Championship on Saturday. Peroni, who attended as a guest of Andrew Westacott and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation. Peroni, who flew out to Spain on Saturday evening for further testing in his Campos Racing F3, was excited by the chance to visit the GP as a guest of the AGPC.

“Andrew Westacott and the AGPC have been wonderful to me and it’s been great to be able to spend a little bit of time at the track before heading off to Spain,” Peroni said.

A visit to the Motum Simulator display saw Alex catch up with fellow Aussie and Monaco race winner, Daniel Ricciardo, for a quick meeting and a simulator challenge. 

“Daniel and I met at the Monaco race winner’s dinner last year and he remembered me from that night,” explained Peroni of their latest meeting. “It was an awesome experience to meet again and have a brief chat at the Australian Grand Prix.”

Peroni was grateful to the AGPC for a chance to walk around the paddock and take in the atmosphere of a Grand Prix. His next visit to a Grand Prix will be as a competitor in the opening round of the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship at the Spanish Grand Prix.
