Vale Charlie Whiting

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of FIA Formula One Race Director, Charlie Whiting. On behalf of the Board and staff of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, we extend our deepest sympathies to Charlie’s family, friends and all personnel from the FIA and the broader Formula 1® family at this time.

Charlie was a brilliant ornament to world motorsport, and his leadership of F1®’s Race Control for more than two decades was exemplary.

Charlie will forever be remembered by all those associated with the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix.

God bless him and may he rest in peace.
