PENRITE RACING HITS THE TRACK IN 2019

Erebus Motorsport will race under the Penrite Racing banner in the 2019 Supercars Championship.
 
The Melbourne-based squad has confirmed full naming rights backing from Penrite Oil and will carry the lubricant company’s name for the first time this season.
 
“It’s a feather in everyone’s cap that we can represent Penrite Racing across two cars,” Erebus’ CEO Barry Ryan said.  
 
It is the continuation of a relationship that started in 2015, providing major backing for their E63’s and then for David Reynolds’ Commodore for the last three seasons.
 
Penrite Oil has continually forged a growing relationship with the team, providing additional support to Anton De Pasquale for selected rounds last year and now becoming title rights.
 
Ryan says racing under the one flag is an important step for the burgeoning alliance.
 
“Our program keeps getting stronger and stronger, and Penrite Oil has been a great part of our team for many years,” he said.
 
“We’re proud to represent an iconic Australian brand and take the Penrite Racing name as we move the team forward.
 
“The results we have achieved so far together is very encouraging heading into the new season.”
 
Team Owner Betty Klimenko shares the team’s excitement, as she heads into her seventh Supercars season.
 
“I have always set a goal for Erebus to succeed across multiple platforms and it makes me proud to have established Erebus Motorsport as its own entity,” she said.
 
“I am excited to kick off the new season and launch Penrite Racing.”
 
Penrite Oil’s Corporate Partnership Manager Jarrod Harding added, “Over the past four years Penrite has fostered a strong relationship with the team both on and off the track.”
 
“The partnership enabled testing and development of Penrite’s high-performance products and proved a wholly Australian owned outfit could challenge multinational industry giants.
