Just a week out from the Barcelona 24H Series 24 Hour race meeting Matt Campbell gets a call to jump on a plane from the outskirts of Stuttgart Germany where he lives to Barcelona Spain, he is needed by Herberth Motorsport to fill a gap in the team left by Robert Renauer who had other racing commitments.

The Catalunya circuit in Barcelona is one that Matt is familiar with, it was in fact the first circuit he raced at in last years Porsche Mobil 1 SuperCup Series as a Rookie, the circuit suited him as he took Pole for both rounds (they had the first two rounds at this event) and then saw the Warwick youngster take a third spot in the second race and his first ever SuperCup Podium.

As we already reported Campbell and the Herberth Motorsport team of Alfred Renauer, Ralf Bohn & Daniel Allemenn won the 24 Hour race outright over the weekend in their Porsche 911 GT3 R car, a 2018 spec car, Herberth have run a 2019 spec Porsche in other 24hour events but the car was not available for this event.

Here is our exclusive Audio Report that Matt has sent us after the win at Barcelona on the weekend.  Photos: 24H Series Facebook Page
