PRESS RELEASE/Erebus Motorsport

Anton De Pasquale and teammate David Reynolds are set to run almost identical liveries this weekend, with Penrite Oil upping its sponsorship again.

The unveiling marks an uplift in backing from the Australian lubricants company, which also sponsored the #99 at Townsville last month.

“To see our Australian family brand across two cars in Australia’s premier racing category is fantastic,” Corporate Partnership Manager, Jarrod Harding said.
“It’s a great testament to the strength of the Penrite range and the support that our customers have shown along this journey.
“We have developed a great relationship with Erebus; one that focuses on product development and performance and has already secured numerous race wins and podium finishes including Supercars highest prize, the Bathurst 1000.”

The two Holden’s are set to light up Sydney Motorsport Park, as the Holden’s flaunt slick red and yellow stickers, switching the usual Metawrap MD-X with Metamark’s M5000 Series.

“We wanted to source the best material to execute something that would light up the race track and showcase something special,” Harding said.

“While our branding is very strong, the gradient colour shading presented a significant challenge but we were able to recreate the Penrite branding in a truly striking manner.”

Running under the Erebus Penrite Racing banner, the #99 will don the name at this weekend’s Sydney SuperNight 300, as well as the upcoming Bathurst 1000, Auckland SuperSprint and Newcastle 500.
“It’s great to have Penrite back on the #99 and on board for some of the biggest rounds this year,” De Pasquale said.
“Penrite have been heavily involved with the team for a number of years, and to have them continue that support to myself and across both cars is really cool.
“The cars look fantastic; they’ve been tweaked a bit heading into this round; it’s going to be a bit like playing at the MCG at night.”
The launch also sees one of the largest suppliers of mobile communication systems, Gencom, join the team.
Gencom design, service and support reliable two-way communication systems and are used across multiple industries; including hospitality, construction, mining and engineering.
“Our partnership with Erebus is not only a way of reinforcing our brand throughout our established customer base, but it also allows us the opportunity to promote our business to new clients throughout Australia,” Managing Director, Martin McLeod said.
De Pasquale sat inside the top ten during February’s all-in test day, while he also won Saturday’s race in Super 2 last year, as well as taking the round win.

“I won last year and had a positive test day here at the beginning of the year so I think we can be confident heading into the weekend,” he said.

The 22-year old has led the rookie contest for majority of this year having started and finished races inside the top ten plus showing plenty signs of promise.
The Sydney SuperNight 300 runs this weekend and kicks off under lights on Friday.
