The sixteenth race of the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Formula 1 VTB Russian Grand Prix, gets underway this weekend at the Sochi Autodrom with the track action commencing on Friday at 11:00 local time.

Nico: “I like the Russian Grand Prix weekend. I like the track, the place, the environment. The track has a good flow, it’s medium to high-speed, so it’s good fun to race here. As always you need a good balance with the car. It’s also a power circuit with a lot of high-speed, so it’s demanding on that. Let’s see how we perform this weekend. We’re looking for good, clean weekends and to extract the best from each race to take some good points. ”

Carlos: “Sochi is always an interesting Grand Prix. I think it’s one of the most difficult tracks to put a good lap time together in qualifying. We’ll try to perform the best we can and we’re coming from back-to-back points finishes, so we aim to keep going. You need the right compromise between downforce and straight-line speed; it’s difficult to find the right wing level here. Fuel-saving too is important in Sochi.”

Artem: “I’m very excited, and I’m looking forward to driving the car. I need to enjoy it and concentrate and work on all the buttons and switches. I’ve been testing Renault’s old car, the R.S.16, to prepare for this. I’ve been on the simulator and also drove at the Hungaroring in the R.S.18 in August. I’m trying to calm down and focus on tomorrow!”
