F1 IN SCHOOLS AUSTRALIA CURRENTLY IN P1

The first of four days of intensive competition has now completed. 50 teams from around the world, all out to claim the prize and title of F1 in Schools World Champions.

The competition is the toughest it has ever been. Up until 6:15 pm this evening, the top 15 schools were separated by only 0.05 seconds. Then along came Horizon from Brighton secondary schools in SA. In the second last set of races for the day they recorded a time of 0.997 seconds, the only team to break the one-second barrier and now the competition leaders on the track.

It is still early, and the competition has a long way to run, but as the sun set over the night sky in Singapore, Australia is in 1st & 5th Place.
