The sound of screaming petrol engines is set to rev up south-east Queensland as Australia’s premiere radio control car racetrack plays host to a major race event this weekend.
Starting this Friday 19 June, interstate stars, seasoned campaigners and club legends will battle it out across three days of high octane large scale racing action at Brendale’s England Park Raceway – all for a shot at glory in the 2026 Remote Control Racing Australia (RCRA) Large Scale Queensland State Titles.

Drivers will compete in either the Large Scale Sedan class, powered by a high performance two stroke petrol engine, or the 1/5 Scale Bike class, which utilises a brushless electric motor.
Queensland Radio Circuit Car Racing Association (QRCCRA) President Dan Morris said the club couldn’t wait to see the rubber hit the road in what promised to be another absolute classic at England Park.
“The Large Scale Queensland State Titles is an iconic event on our club’s racing calendar and you can be sure to see some exciting battles on the track,” he said.
“Large Scale racing is about the closest you can get to the real thing. The cars and bikes feature very similar components to their full size cousins, so if you love your Supercars or Moto GP, why not get on down to England Park this weekend and experience the thrill of radio control racing.
“From the sound and the smell to the action on the track, this is an event not to be missed.”
Featuring a 280m asphalt circuit and professional track lighting, QRCCRA’s England Park Raceway has hosted countless state and national titles across several types of radio control vehicles for almost 40 years.

That includes three world championship events, cementing the track as a first-class facility and Moreton Bay as an international model motorsport destination.
The Large Scale Queensland State Titles will go full throttle from 2pm this Friday, followed by Rounds 2 to 5 on Saturday between 9am and 4pm.
Sunday will kick off with Round 6 from 9am and conclude with Semi Finals and Finals to be held from 11am to 3pm.

England Park Raceway is located on the corner of Leitchs Road and Strathwyn Street, Brendale.
