PETER BROCK TROPHY TOUR KICKS OFF WITH ALBURY-WODONGA ROADSHOW

• This year marks the 60^th anniversary running of the Repco Bathurst 1000
• The Peter Brock Trophy has embarked on a roadshow en route to Bathurst, with the first stop taking place today in Albury
• The 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 takes place October 5 – 8

The road to Bathurst is well underway, with the Peter Brock Trophy Tour officially kicking off today in Albury, just north of the Victoria-New South Wales border.

The trophy, awarded to the winners of the Repco Bathurst 1000, is making the pilgrimage to Mount Panorama over the next fortnight, stopping in numerous towns and communities that rarely, if ever, get to see the iconic trophy up close.

Today’s event in Albury saw local fans meet Supercars drivers including Albury’s David Reynolds and several from Albury-based Brad Jones Racing, compete in mini pit stop challenges, and of course lay their hands on the coveted Peter Brock Trophy.

Fans also were able to get up close with Macauley Jones’ Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro, among other display cars, and partake in on-site activations as excitement builds for the 60^th anniversary running of the Great Race.

A few lucky fans even walked away with tickets to the Repco Bathurst 1000, some of them going for the very first time.

The Peter Brock Trophy Tour continues on Friday in Wagga Wagga, with an on-location event planned from 3:00 p.m. at Wagga Wagga Beach.

The Repco Supercars Championship descends on Mount Panorama for the 60^th anniversary running of the Repco Bathurst 1000 across October 5-8.

Tickets for the milestone running of Australia’s Great Race can be purchased via Supercars.com and Ticketek.

• Wednesday 20th September – Albury Riverside Precinct, 3pm – 5pm
• Friday 22nd September – Wagga Wagga Beach (Carpark area), 3pm – 5pm
• Monday 25th September – Canberra’s Gold Creek Village Shopping Centre, 12pm – 2pm
• Tuesday 26th September – Wollongong’s Flagstaff Hill (carpark near lighthouse), 12pm – 2pm
• Wednesday 27th September – Sydney Harbour
• Thursday 28th September – Orange Southcourt, near Visitor Centre, 12pm – 2pm
• Tuesday 3rd October – Mount Panorama Circuit, 12pm
• Wednesday 4th October – Bathurst SuperFest, Bathurst CBD signing sessions, 12pm – 2pm
