Will Davison tonight returns to the BP Supercars All Stars Eseries aboard a Doric backed Ford Mustang, taking on the Charlotte Oval and Daytona Road Course.
Doric, a personal sponsor of Davison’s for the past decade, is an Australian owned company specialising in window and door hardware, furniture and fittings.
The car for the event will carry subsidiary sponsorship from sister brand Cowdroy, as well as WD40, and the Public Brewery Group.
For Davison, the event caps a tumultuous week in which he lost his full-time Supercars drive after the exit of 23Red Racing from the sport.
“Obviously it’s unfortunate circumstances, but I still want to be involved in the Eseries while working on my future plans in the real world,” said Davison.
“The support of Doric makes this possible, they’ve been great friends over a long time, so to be able to continue in the Eseries with their support is exciting!
“Last week at Circuit of the Americas I unlocked a few things in iRacing, so hopefully that can carry over tonight and we can nail down some more solid results, and move up in the championship standings.”
Heading into the event, Davison sits seventh in the pointscore following 20 races.
“You dream about sponsoring a Supercar, this isn’t quite the real thing, but it’s still very cool for Doric!” Said Tom Arciuli, Marketing and Sponsorship Manager at the Alchin Long Group.
“We’ve been standing by Will for the past 10 years, so we’re proud to be able to continue to show our support through the Eseries.
“Whatever the future brings for him on the track, we will continue to be in his corner.”
Qualifying for the event will commence at 6pm AEST, broadcast exclusively on Fox Sports 506.
From 7pm, the evening’s three races will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, Sky Sports in New Zealand, and on 10 Play, with the event simulcast online via the Supercars’ Facebook page, as well as team pages, in conjunction with Twitch and YouTube.
10 Bold will show a full replay of the action on Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm.
