BEST QUALIFYING EVER FOR TYLER EVERINGHAM
HALF PRICE PARTS Velocity Magazine Media Driver Tyler Everingham had his best ever qualifying result over the weekend at Queensland Raceway in the Supercars Super2 Series and positive results and well within the top ten overall.
Two good qualifying positions set the tone for Tyler for the event, P7 for Race one and P11 for Race two, but could have been P6.
“A Great weekend at Queensland Raceway for round 4 of the Super2 Series. I Came away from the weekend with more confidence and good results.” Tyler told Velocity Magazine.
“Qualifying for Race 1 ended the session in P7 which is my best qualifying position to date and only a couple of tenths off the quickest time.”
“In Race 1 got a great start and made up a position on the fist lap, unfortunately got hit from behind and lost a couple of spots. It was very tight battle from 5th-10th for the entire race. Finished the session in P7.”
“Qualifying for Race 2 I was set for a 6th position placing but lost 2.5 tenths in the last corner due to a slower car and unfortunately only had the one lap to get it right due to an earlier red flag. Ended that session in P11.”
The racing in the second tier level of Supercars is highly competitive (like the main game) 90% of the field are young guns looking to make a career racing.
“Race 2 got another great start but ended up being boxed in with nowhere to go and lost positions on the start as a result. Was able to reset and work my way back up the field finishing P8.”
“I Ended up P7 for the round. Feel like I am becoming more consistent and my race craft is improving. Great to have Cameron McConville helping me out this weekend. Massive thanks as always to Matthew and the MW Motorsport team, it was a massive effort running 6 cars this weekend (3x Super2 & 3x Super3).
“Thanks to Lowes Petroleum Service, Rexel Electrical Supplies Australia, Secure Data Centre, Velocity Magazine, Half Price Parts and the following local businesses back home Gallagher Australia, Tracserv, Inland Technology (Peter Ryan), Pool Hut DUBBO & Bourke Street Butchery.”
