2019 Australian Grand Prix Pole has gone to Lewis Hamilton

6.00pm HAMILTON GETS POLE – 1:20.486 Bottas second Vettel takes third. Mercedes lockout the front row.

5.56pm Final runs now, we’ll soon know who is on Pole will Bottas remain there?

5.54pm Bottas Hamilton Vettel Leclerc Verstappen top 5 with just under 5min remaining

5.52pm Bottas first to dip into the 20’s with a 1:20.598 half a sec quicker than Hamilton at this point

5.48pm Q3 underway – 12mins duration

5.46pm Q3 about to kick off – who will get pole?

Q2 Results

5.41pm Session finished – Hamilton on top 1:21.014 from Bottas and Verstappen – Ricciardo P12 – team mate Hulkenberg P11.

5.40pm Ricciardo on verge of drop zone

5.37pm In the drop zone Grosjean, Kvyat, Albon, Giovinazzi and Norris.

5.36pm Cars heading back out just under 3mins left in Q2

5.35pm All cars in Pitlane 5mins remains – last chance to make Q3

5.34pm Verstappen has jumped to P2 (1:21.712)

5.32pm Ricciardo currently P8

5.31pm Bottas, Leclerc, Hamilton top three at the moment 8mins to go.

5.29pm Bottas sets a 1:21.241 to be fastest so far

5.25pm top 15 cars now on track for Q2 Leclerc out first

Q2 is up shortly and is 15min in duration

Q1 – and Ricciardo makes it into Q2

Stroll, Gasly , Sainz , Russell and Kubica all miss out on Q2.

5.18pm session ends and Charles Leclerc goes to the top 1:22.017

5.14pm Hamilton goes to the top smashing out a 1:22.043

5.12pm Ricciardo sets a time of 1:23.128 puts him 8th currently

5.10pm Ricciardo on track finally.

5.09pm Bottas has gone to the top now 1:22.658

5.06pm Vettel quickly goes to the top with a 1:23.891 thats about to be eclipsed

5.04pm Lando Norris sets the first hot lap time 1:24.654

5pm Cars are heading out on to the track – track temp is 39C air temp 24C. Q1 is 18mins long. Huge crowd packed in here at Albert Park – all grandstands sold out.

5.00pm Melb The 2019 Australian F1 Grand Prix gets underway.
