UNDERLIGHTS SYDNEY TEST SET TO LAUNCH MOTORCRAFT MUSTANG CUP AUS

The Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia will hold its inaugural launch day underlights at Sydney Motorsport Park during the evening of Monday, February 23. 

The event will mark the first time that all of the brand-new sold and leased Dark Horse Rs will come together at the same time. 

The underlights test will be at the end of a huge weekend of track activity at the Sydney venue, directly following the opening round of the Repco Supercar Championship.

Drivers and teams who have secured their Dark Horse Rs will have the chance to test, while prospective competitors will have a final chance to sample the cars amongst category officials and confirmed drivers.

A category information session will also be hosted by category management to reveal key details ahead of the debut round of Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia at Phillip Island on March 27-29.

All of the Australian-bound Dark Horse Rs will have arrived by the test, with approved prospective competitors able to sample the car by logging five laps and receiving data feedback.

The Dark Horse Rs still to be purchased and leased will be on display at Sydney Motorsport Park. Each available Dark Horse R can be purchased or leased on the day, then handed over to the new owner.

Drivers and teams already committed to the inaugural Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia will be in attendance to test their new cars and undertake media duties.

Ford Racing engineers will be on hand to provide support throughout the test, as will control tyre supplier Michelin and its team of technicians.

This launch on Monday, February 23 is the perfect opportunity to experience, purchase or lease a new Dark Horse R ahead of the opening round as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries on March 27-29.
