The Aussie Racing Cars had to cancel their next round which was slated to run at Wakefield Park this coming weekend, but sibling racers Madison & Keelan Dunston will get a run at the Townsville Supercars 400 in their Pitstop Karting pocket rockets.
DriveIT will be running one of the support classes, the North Queensland Supersprinters, which will see Madison and Keelan compete in a Super Sprint format of 5 x 20min timed sprint seesions over the weekend with 3 runs on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.
The drivers are required to have a Motorsport Australia current speed licence, and safety gear like race suits and gloves.
“I am super excited to be running at the Townsville 400 this weekend in my Aussie car alongside my brother who will also be in his Aussie car!” Madison told Velocity Magazine.
“We will be with 30 other local race cars in a Super Sprint so it will be different to a normal race weekend.”
“Its been almost 2 years since being in the aussie car! Which was at the Gold Coast in 2018. I cant wait to get back in my little pocket rocket for the weekend especially being in my home town.”

An eclectic range of cars are expected for the Super Sprints including runs from Roland Dane owner of Triple Eight Race Engineering and Red Bull Holden Racing Team along with DriveIt board member Paul “The Dude” Morris who will also be competing in the DriveIT NQ Supersprinters events.
