Friday, 10 April will include the first pair of 30-minute practice sessions for the Carsales TCR Australia Series, as the international Touring Car category hits Mount Panorama for the first time.

Australian GT and the 6-hour field will bank a pair of practice sessions each, while Group N Historic Touring Cars and Radical Australia Cup fields will qualify ahead of their first races on Saturday.

The MRF Tyres Excel Challenge will be the first to race, their first sprint the final event on Friday’s bumper program.

The massive Saturday program will include the first two TCR races and a one-hour Australian GT enduro, culminating in a two-part qualifying session that will set the grid for Sunday’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

Easter Sunday will commence with a Radical Australia Cup race, the TCR Australia finale’ and the last Australian GT event.

The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will then commence at 11:30am, with pit lane opening at 10:45am.

The schedule released today is pending potential minor changes to accommodate live broadcast TV requirements: the full event TV package on the Seven Network – which will include a record number of broadcast hours and comprehensive live streaming of the event – to be announced in due course.

68 cars are currently entered for the 2020 race, the most ever for the Bathurst 6 Hour.

Should more than 64 start the race on Easter Sunday, it will set a record for the largest ever Bathurst endurance race grid. Entries close this Friday, 6 March.

Tickets, camping and corporate experiences remain on-sale at www.bathurst6hour.com.au

KEN COLLIER – AUSTRALIAN RACING GROUP

“While increasing the off-track entertainment at the 2020 event, we’ve not forgotten about what’s happening on-track either – this year’s schedule is packed. From Friday morning to Sunday night, there’ll be something on-track.

“Entries are tracking strongly in every category and there will be more than 280 cars on track across the Bathurst 6 Hour and support categories.

“Tickets start at just $10 which makes this one of the best-value racing events on the calendar.

“Big fields, lots of action and the variety of categories on show will make this an event fans won’t want to miss!”
