ADPV BMW M3 RACING SHANNONS NATIONALS WRAP

PRESS RELEASE/ADPV BMW M3 Racing

“WEEKEND WRAP (from Jason) : What a weekend in the Australian Production Cars. We finished with a class win and some silverware which was a little surprising but greatly appreciated! Despite it being a little bit hollow being the only car in class, reflecting on our performance overall it was just reward for everyone in the team.

Today, we started 29th on the grid and worked the car into the top 10 outright, and whilst being the only Class B2 car in the field, we were actually running second on track in the higher performance B1 category. Whilst, our race ended prematurely just before the finish flag with a fuel pump failure we had completed enough laps under the endurance regulations (75%) to be classified for the result. SO many people to thank after a huge weekend with so much learnt.

Firstly ADPV Workplace Drone Solutions and Brett Hage for not only being the primary sponsor, but working his heart out as Team Manager and as the ‘get sh*t done’ guy all weekend. To Liam and Nick, our young pit crew who we threw in the deep end and worked hard all weekend. Matty VB our data man, who was all over the timing and strategy, Dad (Ron) for being a pillar of support all weekend and doing a circa 4 hour round trip in peak hour traffic on Friday night to pick up parts so we could re-build the car after our crash in practice.

My co-driver Ben Walsh Racing, so experienced, adds so much in terms of strategy and car set-up, but most of all a bl**dy good mate who I thoroughly enjoy doing this with. Oh yeah, and he’s pretty quick too. ?. All of the guys at BM Racing Developments for prepping the car, providing pit support, and doing our refuelling.

Your experience in this category really guided the path for us this weekend. Thank-you. iStyle Studio for re-wrapping the car after the crash – legendary effort and the car looked amazing. John Phoenix for helping out with parts and advice.

The guys at MARC Cars Australia for not only helping out over the weekend, but for being very understanding when I rear ended their car after a brake issue. Great bunch of blokes. To everyone who came and supported – thank-you, and to finish on a high note my ? Jo for supporting me in my passion and keeping us catered with great food for the weekend. Till next time”.

From Ben Walsh: “Massive effort by the team and a huge thanks to you all for allowing me to be a part of it. I am really enjoying watching the development and hope to be a part of it further…..Some great potential, not just with the car but with everyone who makes up the team. It has the makings of something special……Well done to all on a great result”.

Enjoy the time lapse of the repair below.
